A beautiful evening of art and culture, devoted to the famous novelist from Bellano
Wednesday February 12th, 2020 saw a packed and participative audience take part in the event that hosted the successful author Andrea Vitali.
The event was held to host the theatrical banquet entitled “Pane e Parole”, devoted and inspired by the doctor and author from the lake’s novels.
Andrea Vitali, born in 1956, is a writer and physician from the city of Bellano. He has published a number of books: among his most recent is “Certe Fortune”, centered around the well known marshal Maccadò. A key feature of his stories is that they are mostly set in Bellano, at various times in history, from fascism to present times.
With him was Mauro Rossetto, food historian and teacher of tasting techniques in Sommelier courses, who described the dishes with some specific and well articulated comments.
Luca Radaelli, director and actor in great theatrical productions, with tours in France, Germany, Switzerland and Malta, as well as International Festivals in Croatia, Austria, Turkey, Tunisia, Armenia, was also present. Radaelli provided entertainment for the evening by reading and reciting passages by the writer.
The menu was curated by the chef of the Ristorante da Giovannino, Alessio Limonta.
The audience particularly appreciated Andrea Vitali’s speeches featuring evocative and hilarious anecdotes on the stories, even about his family, that inspired his novels and their relationship with food.
“Pane e Parole” is further confirmation of Ristorante da Giovannino excellence in promoting cultural and entertainment events.
